The Time has come for change, and The Disabled Young People’s Collective (DYP) is searching for new people to create that change with.
Are you ready to learn more about disability pride, justice, and organizing? Do you want to be a member of a statewide, nationally-known organization? If so, we welcome you to join us at the Activism, Community, Empowerment (ACE) Summit!
Who: YOU! Anyone with a disability between the ages of 15 and 24 is encouraged to apply!
What: The Activism Community Empowerment (ACE) Summit will be a fun-filled, life changing, four-day, 3 night event with great people.
Where: The Ace Summit will be held on the beautiful and historic campus of The Governor Morehead School for the Blind in Raleigh, North Carolina.
When: The fun will begin on Sunday, August 1st and the party won’t stop until Wednesday, August 4th.
Guess what? That isn’t all! The end of ACE doesn’t have to be the last time you hear from us. ACE is a great opportunity to become DYP’s future leaders, and we know you are perfect for this!

Four DYP members travelled to Detroit together for the Women’s Media Summit and the Allied Media Conference. Here they met with other disability activists, radical women of color feminist bloggers, and all-around amazing mediamakers. They also facilitated the women of color with disabilities caucus. All four were excited to come home with new ideas and media skills.
